Magnus Silesia organ has been installed and inaugurated in Rochester Cathedral (United Kingdom).
Rochester Cathedral is the 2nd-oldest cathedral foundation in the UK, dating from AD604. The present building was completed in the 1080s.
Due to building works in the Crypt, the Mander pipe organ was switched off for nearly 2 years 2014-16.
During this time a Magnus Silesia organ was used for the daily services, including a BBC Radio 3 broadcast of Choral Evensong, and a CD recording by the Cathedral Choir.
It featured in a blog post by the then Dean, Very Revd Dr Mark Beach
We invite you to listen to the possibilities of the instrument
